Hello Everyone: Welcome!  Thank you for visiting Izumi High School’s homepage.  This school is traditional and was established in 1901 (during the Meiji period, 34).  It has a long history, exceeding over one hundred years.  Over 260,000 students have graduated from this school, all of them playing an active part in our society.  Many students’ parents and family members are alumni’s at this school.  I would like to express my thanks to all of you for the efforts and support you have made at this school and the development of this area.  In this school there are various academic courses.  Our aim is to help students increase self-awareness and independence.  Not only to we have various academic courses, many students engage in club activities and student council.  We have many events that all students actively take part in, such as, school culture festival, sport festival, chorus competition, marathon, and etc.  By taking a look at our homepage, you will learn about what kind of courses and activities we offer at our school.  If you have any questions or are interesting in observe a class, event, or activity, please don’t hesitate to ask. Every year during the summer holidays, our school has open campus, where junior high school teachers, parents, and students may visit our school and experience various school activities first hand.
