Exchange Program
Takatsuki-Minami High School has a student exchange program with Toowoomba State High School
in Toowoomba, Australia (Takatsuki's sister city).
Every other year about 25 Takatsuki-Minami students go to Toowoomba, stay with a homestay family,
and tour Toowoomba State High School and the surrounding area.
The students thus have the chance to experience life in rural Australia first-hand.
In the intervening years, students from Toowoomba State High School visit Takatsuki-Minami High School.
This program has proven to be very popular, and many of the students from both countries
have established personal and cultural exchanges that last long after the exchange program ends.
In July, 2000, the most recent group of Takatsuki-Minami students to participate
in the program set off for two weeks in Toowoomba to experience life down under.
