Today we held a pre-trip lesson so that students could practice various skills that they will need during their homestays in Australia. Students practice going through immigration at the airport, introducing their information about their Japanese families to their Australian host family, making small talk using questions and practicing the ability to answer questions by giving more information. Lastly, they looked at various situations that they might encounter when they are in Australia and they discussed how they would handle each situation. Tony and James gave students advice and shared stories from previous Australia Study Tours.
Students worked actively and they seemed excited about their upcoming trip to Australia. We are looking forward to the trip and we cannot wait for our adventure to start. We have one more pre-trip lesson on this Friday.
