Super Global High School Activity Announcement

　January 8th, 2017 (Sun) We received 1st prize in the National High School Student Business Plan Grand Prix!
　The BOP business plan made by our BIBICK group of 2nd year students was selected as a finalist (Japan’s Best 10) and made it to the last round of the4rd annual High School Student Business Plan Grand Prix held by the Japan Finance Corporation at Tokyo University. On this occasion, our students succeeded in winning the Grand Prix 1st prize with their Product Development of a Safe Mosquito Repellant Brand．

　This was quite a pleasant surprise, as we were not expecting such an outcome. It was all thanks to the steadfast examination and the practice presentations carried out by our students over their winter vacation. The results were even published in each of the Japan’s major newspapers and shown on Mainichi Broadcasting’s “Chichin Puipui”. We received our hometown Sakai City Crown Award as well.

　We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone at Philippine Enderun College, the Japan Finance Corporation, various private sector corporations and Mr. Daigo Higashi who instructed us in our presentation as well as everyone else who supported us in this endeavor. Thank you all.

This year 6 groups in total developed business plans, and 4 of these offered spectacular presentations that walked away with an award. Even the groups that did not win carried out a follow-up examination of their proposal and put together a more refined business plan. We would like to offer our profound congratulations to the 2nd year students who carried out field work in the Philippines, offered up various problems, logically analyzed the current challenges and executed a trial-and-error approach to come up with various solutions to the issues at hand. Your bold endeavors at developing business plans in anticipation of the progress of developing countries were truly research of the highest caliber.
