2022 校内留学 Day 4

The 4th day started with a game where students made a big circle. One student was sent out of the room. A leader was chosen from someone in the circle. The leader's job was to make movements or gestures that everyone must copy. The student who was outside, came back in and stood in the middle of the circle. Their job was to discover who the leader is. The students enjoyed this game very much.

IMG_20220804_090126.jpgThe first lesson of the day was about leadership. What makes someone a good leader? Who can be a leader? Students learned that there are different kinds of leaders. Some leaders are politicians, some are religious leaders, and some are activists who have a passion for something. As this is a Global Leaders High School, I could feel that this topic is very important for our students to consider.

Students then discussed the ways that they have already been leaders in their lives. Perhaps they were leaders in club activities or at home with siblings. Maybe they have been leaders for school events. There are many opportunities to become leaders. Students then prepared for a presentation using words that can be used to describe good leaders such as "goal-orientated", "compassionate", "motivated", "honest", "humble", "kind" and many other interesting words.

They made a timeline plan to achieve their goals. Then, they developed speeches for their final presentations. It has been a great 4 days so far. But, the best is yet to come. Tomorrow, each student will present for 3 minutes in English without using notes. We cannot wait to see what amazing things they will share with us tomorrow. Onward and upward!
