2022 校内留学 Day 5

Today was the last day of the 校内留学 program. Students worked very hard this whole week in order to improve their English skills, presentation skills and communication skills. In addition, they learned that nothing is impossible so long as they make an effort and think positively.

In the morning, they learned about climate change and how to take action to help the environment. They thought about issues such as pollution, waste, deforestation and the effects of too much warming. Each group made presentations related to that topic.

Students memorized and practiced their speeches, trying to speak loudly and clearly while using some gestures. They worked really hard. After lunch, each student presented for about 3 to 4 minutes. They talked about what they learned in the program, how they have changed thanks to this program, and what they hope to achieve in the future. They were amazing speeches full of hope and positivity. The future is bright for all of these wonderful students.

Each group leader presented certificates to the students. Group leaders gave their feedback and then we heard from the principal of Ikuno, Mr. Asada. He gave a wonderful speech about the importance of studying English in order to be able to communicate rather than just to pass a university entrance exam. Students were surely motivated and moved by his words of encouragement.
