I wanted to plan a fun party to celebrate Halloween with the ESS Club's students.
ESS部の生徒たちとハロウィーンを祝うために、楽しいパーティーを計画してみました。
After giving it a lot of thought, I decided to make a mystery game.
いろいろ考えた結果、謎ときゲームを作ることにしました。
I wrote a fake story about the party's Halloween decorations being stolen. The students had to work together to figure out who did it.
パーティーのハロウィーンの飾りが盗まれたという作り話を書きました。生徒たちは協力して犯人を突き止めなければなりませんでした。
First, I gave a short presentation to introduce the concept.
まず、コンセプトを紹介するために短いプレゼンテーションをしました。
Then, I gave the students various puzzles to solve. Whenever they solved a puzzle, they earned a clue that helped them find the culprit.
それから、生徒たちに色々なパズルを解いてもらいました。パズルを解くたびに、犯人を突き止めるヒントを得ました。
The suspects were the ALT teacher (me), T-sensei, N-sensei, and the three students in the club.
容疑者はALTの先生（私）、T先生、N先生、そしてESS部の3人の生徒でした。
In the end, the students figured out that it was N-sensei who stole the Halloween decorations! (Of course, she didn't really steal anything!)
最終的に生徒たちは、ハロウィーンの飾りを盗んだのはN先生だと突き止めました！（もちろん、N先生は本当に盗んだわけではありません！）
Because the students solved the mystery, they got a special Halloween treat!
生徒たちは謎ときゲームを解いたので、特別なハロウィーンのご褒美をもらえました。
Next year, I want to introduce some Halloween candies that are popular in America.
来年は、アメリカで人気のハロウィーン・キャンディーを紹介したいと思います。
Soon it will be time to start thinking about what to plan for the Christmas party...
