5月24日（金）はオーストラリアよりお迎えしたBentleigh Secondary Collegeの生徒及び先生方と一日かけて交流を深めました。
始業前に全校生参加の歓迎式を開催しました。生徒会執行部による英語のwelcome speechや吹奏楽部による演奏でお迎えしました。
その後、校長室にて姉妹校協定の調印式を執り行いました。2限目は、講師の先生のご厚意で特別に書道を開講して頂きました。非常に緊張しながらも楽しんで書に挑む姿が印象的でした。3時間目以降はバディの生徒たちに連れられてBentleighの生徒達も本校の普段の授業に参加しました。昼食は食堂でバディと共に食べ、午後からの授業にも参加してもらい、放課後は好きな部活動に参加するなど、盛りだくさんの一日だったと思います。Bentleighの生徒たちの喜ぶ姿を見て安堵すると共に、本校生の持つ良さ・優しさ・ポテンシャルを垣間見た一日でもありました。
最後になりましたが、生徒会執行部及び吹奏楽部の諸君、国際交流委員の先生方はじめ関係の先生方、英語科のランペル先生、本当にありがとうございました。
追伸：私が1つ手順を飛ばしたので、MCの生徒には申し訳ない気持で一杯です。

Good morning, everyone. I am Maeda Takashi, the principal here at Osaka Prefectural Yamada Senior High School. Today is a special day here at Yamada High School.
For today, we are hosts to some very special guests who've traveled from afar to be here with us today. Thank you. Despite the relative ease of modern technology in travel, it is still quite a long way to get here.
It is my honor and privilege to officially welcome the visiting students and faculty of Bentleigh Secondary College. WELCOME!
For 13 years we have continued to be sister schools with the goal of fostering international friendship and connection, and for cross cultural exchange and understanding.
It is my hope that you all will make wonderful memories today that will last a lifetime.
