This is a conversation between high school students:
とある高校の生徒のとある会話...
Student A : Are you interested in debating in English? I have heard that an English debate competition will be held this year. Why don't we join it together?
英語ディベート（討論）に興味ある？今年、英語ディベートの大会があるって聞いたんだ。出てみない？
Student B : It sounds interesting, but I think debating in English is difficult.
おもしろそうだね。でも英語ディベートって難しいと思うよ。
A : It is certainly difficult not only for students but sometimes even for teachers, but that is why it is a good challenge.
確かにディベートは僕たちだけでなく先生にとってさえ難しいこともあるよ、でもだからこそやりがいがあるんだ。
B : Mnn...
うーむ...
A : Moreover, we can meet a lot of students from other schools at the competition. They are all passionate about speaking English, so we can make many friends!!
それに、大会で他の学校のたくさんの生徒と出会うことができるし、皆、英語で話すことが大好きなんだ。だから、たくさん友達ができるよ！！
B : I'm not sure if I can do it well ...
上手くできるかわからないなぁ...
A : Please have confidence! It is a "team" competition, so we can work together and enjoy it!
自信を持って。ディベートは「チーム」で戦うから、一緒に力を合わせて楽しめるよ！
B : OK. I will do it!

In our club, we are looking for students who are interested in debating in English.
ＥＳＳ部では英語ディベートのメンバー募集も行っています。
Please let me know if you are willing to try the debate!
英語ディベートをやってみたいという人がいれば、顧問までお知らせください。
We will debate easy topics such as 'Are you a dog person or a cat person?' It will be very fun!
ちなみに、「犬派もしくは猫派」といった簡単なお題について楽しくディベートします。
ESS部の正式な部員にならなくても、ディベートをするときだけの参加も可能です。
最低４名以上のチーム同士で対戦したいので、どなたでも参加してくれたら嬉しいです。
ESS部の次の活動スケジュールは４月以降に英語科の職員室前の掲示板に張り出す予定です。
