I attended the graduation ceremony at Senyo High School this year.
今年、泉陽高校の卒業式に出席しました。
It was my first time seeing what such a ceremony is like in Japan.
日本の卒業式がどのようなものかを見るのは初めてでした。
Even though it was pretty different from what I'm used to in America, I found myself remembering my own graduation ceremony from over 10 years ago.
アメリカで慣れ親しんだ卒業式とはかなり違っていたけれど、10年以上前の自分の卒業式を思い出していました。
What a special day for all of the graduating students. You worked so hard for this.
卒業する生徒のみんなにとって、なんと特別な日でしょう。みんなはこの日のために頑張ってきました。
As I watched the ceremony, I took a moment to look at your families in the audience.
卒業式を見ながら、会場にいる皆さんのご家族に目をやりました。
There were many smiling faces, proud expressions, and even some tears.
たくさんの笑顔、誇らしげな表情、そして涙もありました。
This chapter of your life has ended, but a new one is just beginning. How exciting!
人生のこれまでの章は終わりましたが、新しい章が始まったばかりです。なんてワクワクするんでしょう！
