KITANO Senior High School

In 2014, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Techonology (MEXT) designated Kitano Senior High School a "Super Global High School" (SGH) a designation valid for the five-year-period between 2014 and 2019.

With the help of curriculum designed to cultivate "global leaders," the SGH project aims at developing students that will perform on the global stage by supplying them with various basic skills, such as problem-solving skills and a good command of English as well as nurishing global mind with a high level of interest in political and social issues. In cooperation with increasingly internationalized domestic universities, global corporations and international organizations, SGH schools seek to develop persons capable of discovering and solving global social issues and competing on the global business stage. Kitano is now working hard towards establishing, enacting, and maintainng a high-quality curriculum.

With these goals and principles in mind, Kitano Senior High School has adopted the research and development plan called "Japan among Southeast Asian Countries ---　Toward Our Future Mutual Growth ---." We plan to further enrich the research activities in close cooperation with domestic and international universities and institutions, based on high proficiency in English.
