The current library opened in the spring of 2000. There is a reading room and a librarian’s room on the 2nd floor, as well as private study and meeting rooms on the 1st floor; there are also closed stacks on the 1st floor and in the basement. The 2nd floor reading room houses approximately 25,000 relatively new books.
The closed stacks also store approximately 50,000 volumes from the Kitano Junior High School days. The volume of the collection is the greatest among Osaka Prefecture high schools. The library is becoming very easy to use, with searches, borrowing, and returns available via computer, and with the planned addition of a barcode system.
The majority of the books are available to students, so please make use of the library. If you have any questions about using the library, feel free to ask a member of the staff.
