At Kitano High School, until 2014, in order to meet the required number of lessons and to facilitate students’ better understanding, supplementary lessons were given at the end of July and at the end of August. As a result, Kitano High School had fewer summer holidays.
However, as some classrooms do not have air-conditioners, many students found it rather difficult to concentrate because of the high summer temperatures. Due to these circumstances, starting from the present year of 2015, Osaka Board of Education has allowed Kitano to give additional formal lessons on seven Saturdays. This means that we now have seven extra summer holidays this year and students can spend the time on such extra-curricular activities as reading or club activities.
Lastly, TOEFL seminars, SGH related lectures and Kitano Presentations will be carried out as has been done until now.
