The Last Day in Brisbane②

Saturday, March 15
Today is finally the last day to spend with my host family in Australia.
I woke up early and spent my last morning in Brisbane because I was going to see my host sister's dance lesson in the morning. My host father and host sister were wearing matching outfits, so we took pictures and had a good time.
My host mother drove me to my host sister's lessons. I felt very sad thinking that I had only a few more days left to ride in the car driven by my host mother. At the host sisters' lessons, I saw them cheerleading to various Western music. After watching the host sisters' lessons, we walked to a nearby shopping mall. My host mother took me to a famous Australian store that sells a variety of goods at low prices. I was surprised to see jeans for $2 and a dress for $1, which were incredibly cheap. After that, I had my first taste of Gorgonzola at the supermarket. Gorgonzola had a stronger smell than I had expected, and the smell remained in my mouth for some time after eating it. After returning home, we finished packing and went to the Host Grandparents' house next door to watch TV, play make-believe, and relax.
After lunch, my host mother took me to Mt. GRAVAT, a mountain overlooking the city of Brisbane. From the top, the view of Brisbane was really beautiful and impressive. After playing on the playground at the top with my host sisters, I went home. After returning home, we spent our last time with our host families. I gave my host family a kusudama made of colored paper and origami as a token of my appreciation for their hospitality.
Although the two weeks were very short, I spent a lot of time at home because of the cyclone, but I was able to learn many things, play a lot, and spend very fulfilling days. At the end of the trip, I was told that "see you" is a word used when you don't want to see someone again, so it is better to use "see you later" which means "see you again later. I definitely want to come back to Brisbane again!

とうとう今日はオーストラリアでホストファミリーとすごす最後の日です。
朝からホストシスターのダンスの習い事を見に行く予定なので、早く起きて最後のブリスベンでの朝を過ごしました。ホストファーザーとホストシスターが全身お揃いコーデをしていたので写真撮影をして、楽しく過ごしました。
ホストシスターの習い事にはホストマザーの運転で行きました。ホストマザーが運転する車に乗るのもあと残り僅かだと思うと、とても寂しく感じました。ホストシスターの習い事では、さまざまな洋楽に合わせてチアリーディングをしている姿を見ました。ホストシスターの習い事を見たあと、近くのショッピングモールに歩いて行きました。ホストマザーにオーストラリアで有名ないろんなものが安く売っているお店に連れて行ってもらいました。そのお店では、ジーンズが2ドルで売っていたり、ワンピースが1ドルで売っていたり、信じられないほど安くて驚きました。そのあと、スーパーで初めてゴルゴンゾーラを食べました。ゴルゴンゾーラは、予想していたよりも匂いがきつくて、食べてしばらく経っても口の中に匂いが残っている状態でした。帰宅後は、パッキングを終えたあと、隣のホストグランドペアレンツの家に行って、テレビを見たりおままごとをしたり、まったりした時間を過ごしました。
ランチを食べたあと、ブリスベンのシティが一望できる山Mt.GRAVAT にホストマザーが連れて行ってくれました。頂上からは、ブリスベンの景色が本当に綺麗に見れて感動しました。頂上の遊具でホストシスターたちと遊んだあと、家に帰りました。帰宅後、ホストファミリーと最後の時間を過ごしました。ホストファミリーに感謝の気持ちを込めて、色紙と折り紙で作ったくす玉を渡しました。
2週間というとても短い時間でしたが、サイクロンで家にいる時間が多かったぶん、色んなことを教えていただいたり、沢山遊んだり、とても充実した日々を過ごすことが出来ました。最後には、see youはもう会わない時に使う言葉だから、また後でという意味のsee you laterという言葉を使う方がいいと教えてもらいました。また絶対ブリスベンに戻ってきたいです！
