Saturday ④

Today, I was talking with my host family about visiting tourist attractions in Brisbane, but unfortunately, the weather was bad and we had to stay at home.

However, the weather was bad, so we decided to spend the day at home.

In the morning, we made bracelets with the host sisters. I have made several bracelets since I came to Australia, and they are so much fun that I never get tired of making them. After that, I went for a drive with my host family in the rain. It was fun to go to the city of Brisbane, where there were many cool buildings that you don't see in Japan.

In the afternoon, I played with my host sister by tying each other's hair. My host sister is very good at tying up her hair, and she always does it herself on school days. When I was her age, I could not do such a thing, so I thought it was amazing. In the afternoon, while we were going for our second drive, we got a call that the electricity that had been out of service was back, and we were all very happy.

Unfortunately, we were not able to go to the sights and play outside as planned, but thanks to my host families, I was able to enjoy my holiday.

今日は、ホストファミリーとブリスベンの観光名所を訪れようと話をしていましたが、あいにく天気が悪く、家で過ごすことになりました。

しかし、家でもホストファミリーたちと楽しく過ごすことが出来ました。

午前中は、ホストシスターたちとブレスレットを作って遊びました。オーストラリアに来ていくつもブレスレットを作っていますが、それはとても楽しく、飽きずにずっと作り続けてしまいます。そのあと、雨の中ホストファミリーとドライブに行きました。ブリスベンの街の方まで行くと、日本にはないようなかっこいい建物がたくさんあって、楽しかったです。

午後は、ホストシスターと髪をくくり合いっこして遊びました。ホストシスターは髪をくくるのがとても上手で、学校がある日はいつも自分で髪を括っています。私がホストシスターの年齢の時はそんなことできなかったので、すごいなと思いました。午後、2回目のドライブに行っている時、使えなくなっていた電気が戻ったと連絡が来て、みんなでとても喜びました。

残念ながら、予定通り観光名所に行ったり外で遊んだりということは出来ませんでしたが、ホストファミリーたちのおかげで楽しく過ごすことが出来た休日でした。
