SGS: Explanation of Rules by a Student

Hello! I am Jodai in charge of SGS GUROSUTA.

Now we are on summer vacation. Today I will report about SGS (Super Global Seminar) held on May 8 (Sat.).

Today second year students in Toyonaka High School Global Studies (commonly called GUROSUTA) explained the rules of Impromptu English Debate.

They explained clearly using PowerPoint, as shown here, a good preparatory job.

Then, a model debate was held among GUROSUTA second year students to grasp an image of debates. The theme was simple: "Homework should be abolished or not."

After exercising the short debate, the GUROSUTA second year students, who played a role of judge, commented briefly on the performance.

Many students, who experienced a debate for the first time, were nervous, but the debate was very hot!

Next time, we will see a "logical thinking course," in which full-fledged English debates will be launched!
