Hello! I am Moriguchi, a Social Studies teacher.

On May 10 (Fri.) a "Lecture on Islam" was held in the class of VISION3 & 4 project study (114 students included) by inviting Ms. Machiko Matsumoto, Director of the Japan Muslim Support Association. She is also a promotor of the Washoku Home Cooking Class, teaching people how to cook Washoku that Muslims can eat without worry.

She made a speech about why she had started such activities and what she feels when she is doing such activities, including the basic knowledge about Islamic culture we should know. She showed a Hijab worn by Muslims and a mat used during the worship. Her talk attracted our students and they could have a clear image about Islam.

I wish they will keep her lecture in mind and utilize it in the future project study.
