The second SGS: Exercise of a debate!

I, Okuda, bought a pair of rain boots in preparation for a rainy season.

Even in a rainy day, I can walk nonchalantly without avoiding puddles.

I will report on the SGS (super global seminar) held on May 31 (Sat.).

Students had to have finished reading a paper on Islam distributed in advance. The paper was written by Professor of Tokyo University, Kaku Sechiyama, about "Can Japan blame a gender discrimination practice in the Islamic world?" http://toyokeizai,net/articles/-/60190

Students divided into two groups of pros and cons to open a debate!

First, the rules were explained. This time, too, Principal presided over the debate.

The participants of 13 students might have experienced debates (discussions) in junior high school, but a full-scale debate is likely the first time for them.

At the beginning they started with a simple topic.

Topic: "A paper cup of beverage must not be brought into the school"
